Sentence of the week. From an article on BluRay vs HDDVD in Sound And Vision Magazine: "Nine years later, we're about to get our first taste of DVD's even higher-quality successors, HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc. There are plenty of fine points separating the two formats, but both can deliver an unparalleled home theater experience"

did you catch it? Lets hear it once more. "both can deliver an unparalleled home theater experience."

So in fact each delivers a paralleled home theater experience. An experience paralleled by the experience you would get watching the movie in the other format...

Dang I'm anal.

Today I'm trying to not just phone it in. I was here for 2 crazy days earlier this week, including one 13 hour marathon. My boss is at NAB and I'm manning the helm. One of our mission critical pieces of software screwed up and I've been fighting with it. Its actually kind of nice, because its so close to what I did in Dallas. Its something I'm actually used to.

I have decided to buy a kayak, its something I've always wanted to do and now that I live close to water again, after 8 years in the midwest and then in Texas, I'm going for it. Sure Texas had water, but mostly they were manmade lakes. There were some decent rivers, but you had to drive nearly to San Antonio. Anyway off all the midlife crises a man can have this one is remarkably cheap. I'll spend about $400 total.
